Potatoed Privacy Policy

Overview
Potatoed turns your activity, screen time, and weather context into a daily "potato" wellness state. Your wellness tracking is computed and kept on your device, and you choose which signals to turn on.
On-Device Processing
Your potato and its history are computed and stored on your device. No account or sign-up is required, and your wellness data is never uploaded to a server.
Health Data
If you grant access to your health data, Potatoed reads movement data (such as step count) to shape your potato. On iPhone this is Apple Health; on Android it is Health Connect. That data is used only on your device, and never sold, shared, or used for advertising. You can revoke access anytime in Apple Health or Health Connect.
Location and Weather
If you enable weather, general device coordinates are required for the weather provider to accurately display your local weather. Potatoed uses Apple Weather to return that reading. These coordinates are not stored, not tied to any identity, and never used for advertising or tracking.
Screen Time
If you grant access to screen time, Potatoed reads how long your apps are used and translates that into meaningful metrics shown directly to you. This data stays on your device.
Device Verification
To protect the weather service from abuse, the app confirms that requests come from a genuine copy of Potatoed, using Apple's App Attest on iPhone and Google's Play Integrity on Android. This verifies the authenticity of the app, not you, and carries no personal information.
What We Don't Do
No accounts. No ads. No selling or renting of your data. No third-party analytics or cross-app tracking. Your wellness data never leaves your device.
Subscriptions
Purchases and trials are handled by the Apple App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android, and your subscription is managed through that store. Potatoed stores your subscription status locally so it knows whether your access is active.
Deleting Your Data
Because your potato and its history live on your device, you stay in control of them. To remove everything Potatoed has stored, delete the app from your phone: that permanently erases your potato, its history, and your settings. You can also turn any signal off at any time in your phone's settings to stop Potatoed from reading it. Potatoed keeps no copy of your data on a server, so there is nothing held elsewhere for us to delete. If you would like help, email support@potatoed.app and we will assist.
